Small but useful and it starts easily. Good for kids

This thing is tiny. I expected it to be small but the length and thickness are smaller than I expected. This isn't a bushcraft hiking companion, but it's light and easy to carry and has some nice features. I like the hole in the end of the handle. You can tie it to the handle of a bigger pack for easy retrieval. The serrated back edge is handy for some small tasks. The sharp edge of the blade cuts through things pretty well, and the long spine makes it easy to carry when stored upside down on a pack. The fire-starter works pretty well. I like that it has some bulk to it so it's not accidentally snuffed out when packing the bag for the trail. It has the holes at the bottom so it's easy to keep the starter dry. The two little nylon sheaths (for the fire starter and the knife) have minimal function. There's no reason to put a sheath on a knife that small. They keep out debris and a little moisture, but the fire starter could fall out of its little pouch, but I haven't lost any yet. This product is a $7 item, and it meets the price expectations. It's made in China, but that doesn't mean anything bad to me. I have Chinese knives that I like a lot. This isn't one of them, but that's okay. I think it's made of some sort of hard plastic and has a steel rod running down the center of the blade for support. It doesn't flex or feel cheap.

Amazing Deal for a small folding BLADE!
Review by Keepshooting Customer
For under $10 I thought this was a complete scam! As it came out the package, I couldn't believe it. As small as this blade is and for less than $10 I thought that I was about to purchase some knock off Chinese counterfeit products! After looking at the item, the price was extremely reasonable for what it is! This is the perfect blade to carry on your key ring or on your daily bag! For the under $10, it came out of the package very sharp and is perfect as a emergency knife. The fact that it comes with a fire stick is very nice as well. All I did was use some lightly lubricant and that was it! The small pouch that comes with it, actually makes it an even better gift idea for your favorite survivalist, soldier, knife collector, fisherman, or anyone that likes camping or backpacking. It is such a great deal that if I had 10 more $10, I would buy another just to give as a gift! This is my ideal survival, camping, backpacking, fishing, hiking blade. I just hope I never need to put it to use. This item will also be added to our go bag, so incase of an emergency it is there. The fire-stick, while I don't know how well it will work as a full fire-stick (you will need more than one fire stick to start a good sized fire) it is still good to have in case of a true emergency where you just need to start a fire fast. It did well for that purpose. It lit up our paper fast and it didn't take long at all. Overall, for the price, this blade, is perfect! For the few things it is not made for, I wouldn't use it as a big saw or any thing to be able to chop anything down, it is small and that is the point. It also won't be able to hold a great sharp, but I was fine with the small amount of pressure I put on it to open up the packaging! It was still very sharp. So this blade is small, but it still can be used for cutting things, but I

Well-built, reasonably-priced, tough survival knife
Review by Keepshooting Customer
This small but sturdy fixed-blade is actually made of good steel, unlike many similarly-priced "Survival" knives I've purchased. The sheath is thick and strong. I would not want to rely on this knife to baton down large logs, but it is more than up to any survival situation. I purchased this as a lightweight backup to a full-sized hunting/survival knife I keep with me at all times. The only problem I have with it is that the cord on the fire-starter seems a bit light to be a good paracord-type string.

Decent, what I was expecting for the money. Knife feels sturdy and blade is not sharpened at all. Fire stick doesn't produce the most impressive spark, however I like that it came pre-packaged with its own lanyard, for use in tying to your backpack, hiking with your dog or fishing in a pond. Fire stick came with good directions, has two types of material on it for easier grip and has not dulled at all since it came in the package. It doesn't really fit with the design of the knife too well, however. All-in-all, good knife for the money, especially if you want the added feature of a spark stick.

Decent blade for what you pay. Good practice in making survival kits. Fire is good for lighting, it works.

A bit on the smaller size for what you get.
Review by Keepshooting Customer
Great knife, and has some good reviews, however I must mention that it is smaller than expected. For me, that's okay because I plan on buying some tac gauges, so it works out for me, but I was a bit disappointed that I did not see the exact size of the blade on the product page. The price point is still great though, and this is the reason why Amazon is my go to place for most of my products. It is well made and has the Firestarter stick. I have had it out for a couple hours now and I must say it looks and feels solid, the craftsmanship looks good. If I was in the middle of nowhere with no way to get a better one, this is a great backup/supplemental option. I will still be looking for a much larger knife for my outdoor use, but for camping/bug-out bag I feel that this can be a great alternative for me.

Nice! Perfect size for outdoor pursuits!
Review by Keepshooting Customer
Bought this for camping, my husband had the very similar one that broke. So, we bought this as a backup. It’s well made, not so heavy that you’d want to carry it all the time, so it’s great for hiking or if you need a quick sharp, rugged knife for an emergency situation! The fire rod and blade came with one small gash in them. The knife has not come apart or fallen apart yet, so it’s sturdy and the price is worth it!

I love this thing! The blade came pretty dull but it was easy to sharpen. The fire starter works great and it fits nicely in my pocket.
