The thunderbolts are definitely the most common .22lr out there, even stocked in Walmart. However, my 10/22 is not a fan of the thunderbolt compared to other ammo loads (like CCI).
You really can't beat the bang for the buck, but you should search elsewhere if you are searching for match grade ammunition.
I'm not really a fan of lead bullets as they lead foul your barrels but they make solvent to clean the lead residue out so no problem
Just can't use lead bullets in a suppressor though due to lead fouling building up inside the suppressor
Regardless I'll be buying more of this as soon as It comes available somewhere again
Reliable, accurate enough for plinking and cheap enough to stock up on.
.... if you can get any. All my .22s shoot this, pretty reliable, pretty dirty to. It's like Gold now though. Buy it cheap and stack it deep!
I purchased this ammo and it was accurate and left very little residue in my 10/22 cycled flawless.
I tend to shoot a lot of Remington 22 lr Thunderbolts. I remember reading once that lead bullets create no appreciable wear on the rifling of a rifle chambered in 22 long rifle. Also the indoor pistol range I shoot at only allows lead bullets to be used in the ammo used there. So because I am a lot like this ammo, cheap, this is usually the brand I purchase. For the dollar this ammo is tough to beat, it is reasonably accurate and pretty reliable. Both my Zastava 22 and my Marlin 25 seem to like it.
this is in my opinion the best most accurate 22 ammo there is out there the best groups at 100 yards i have ever seen with my 10/22
