Remington Arms Company, LLC is an arms manufacturer that is headquartered in Madison, North Carolina and specializes in handguns, rifles and shotguns for the civilian market as well as the military and law enforcement sectors. The company is also well known for its ammunition. Founded in 1816 in Ilion, New York by Eliphalet Remington under the name of E. Remington and Sons, the company went on to become the oldest continuously operating arms manufacturer in the United States. It is also the only American arms manufacturer that produces both firearms and ammunition domestically. But the accolades do not end there. Remington is also the largest American producer of rifles and shotguns. With nearly 200 years of experience under their belts, Remington is a name that you can trust.
As expected, each box of Remington Premier AccuTip-V .223 ammunition is a product from the company's "Premier AccuTip-V" line. Like most ammunition from Remington, the Premier AccuTip-V line has come to be known for its uncanny accuracy and overall outstanding performance that is on par with their match-grade lines. Moreover, the line is lauded for its superior terminal ballistics – a quality that makes this an excellent choice for varmint hunting. Developed by the company's industry-leading research and development team, each cartridge is manufactured to exacting tolerances, placing them in a class all their own. You will also be pleased to hear that all Remington ammunition is manufactured in the United States at the main manufacturing facility in Lonoke, Arkansas using only premium raw components to provide for uncompromised performance at a great value. Remington also has a manufacturing plant in Athens, Georgia that is responsible for the production of clay targets.
The cartridges found in each box of Remington Premier AccuTip-V .223 ammunition begin with a boat-tailed projectile that features a gold polymer tip. This unique projectile provides for flat trajectories coupled with superior terminal ballistics. At impact, the gold polymer-tipped projectile characteristic of the AccuTip-V cartridge is driven rearward, promoting violent fragmentation of the thin jacket and lead core that results in maximum tissue damage. And because the projectile takes on the shape of a full metal jacket, it also benefits from superb flight characteristics.
As noted, each box of Remington Premier AccuTip-V .223 ammunition contains 20 non-corrosive, brass-cased cartridges. Each cartridge is loaded with a 50 gr polymer-tipped projectile, which provides for both superior terminal ballistics and increased muzzle velocities. In fact, this particular load is capable of producing muzzle velocities that have been observed to travel at speed of up to 3,410 fps.
