The Streamlight TLR-4 tactical laser is a compact, rail-mounted light/laser combination designed to be used as both an illumination aid for low-light shooting as well as a laser sighting device for use with a range of the world's most popular pistols. The innovative light, which boasts an overall lifespan of 50,000 hours, utilizes a C4® LED that delivers a peak beam intensity of up to 5,000 candelas and 110 lumens. It is powered by a single 3V CR2 lithium battery, and provides up to 1 1/2 hours of continuous use. With a range and brightness comparable to a xenon bulb, the C4® LED is said to be two to three times brighter than high-flux LEDs. Lighting is also aided by a unique parabolic reflector, which produces a concentrated beam for optimal peripheral illumination, giving you a complete view of your immediate surroundings. The light is manipulated by ambidextrous controls that provide for both momentary and steady on or off.

The powerful 660 nm micro laser is designed for long-range precision targeting and may either be used alone or in conjunction with the C4® LED light. When used alone, the laser may run for up to 11 hours of continuous use. Like the light, the laser offers ambidextrous controls (three-position mode selector), full point-of-aim adjustment and excellent sight retention.

These electronics are housed within an ergonomic case that measures 2.73 inches in total length. It is constructed from a tough, impact-resistant polymer and includes a face cap that is constructed from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish. It may also interest you to know that the TLR-4 is waterproof to one meter for up to 30 minutes and carries an operational temperature range between -10 degrees Fahrenheit to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

This laser/ light combo is an awesome addition to our home protection pistol. I have the Baby Eagle 9mm and it is complimented by the TLR-4. Sighting in the unit was simple and the set screws, although very small, we're easily tweaked to accuracy. I have the unit sighted in at around 12 yards. I had to gently wiggle the set screws the first time though so that they would adjust. They are delicate.

The light is 110 lumens, it is bright!! Even in daylight the flashlight is very bright. At night the flashlight lights up the entire area where it is being directed. If an intruder were to have the light shone at them at night, they would find it difficult to see anything else! The laser is also great at night or in the day. I used it on one of my dueling trees and I was able to run a full clip (17 rounds) in 10 seconds without missing. I thought that it was an excellent aid to shooting. While it removes the aiming portion of shooting somewhat, it makes it enjoyable for my wife as well.

I debated on going with a more expensive model that I thought would be better, but this unit actually had more option including laser only, light only and combo. I wanted all three because I knew there would be times that I wanted to use the laser only due to battery life.

This is a great litte accessory from a great company, not to mention that once the stickers are read and then removed (btw they come off very neatly...), it looks awesome!!

This is a really great product. I have the TLR-4 mounted on a glock 19 and the fit is great. The light sticks out around 1/2 inch past the muzzle of the gun. The light is white and very bright, perhaps blindingly so. The laser is also good and bright. It's a really good buy and a great value.

This is one item I would highly recommend. I (as well as other LE Officers) have trained for years using a flashlight in the weak hand, coupled with a firearm in the strong hand for night / dark sweep and clear exercises, both live and simulated. Recently, the LE community have begun to embrace using these rail FL units. I do not use this particular unit for my duty weapon, but I do have one on my designated HD weapon.

The FL is very bright, and effective. The Laser is a bonus!

This light is pretty cool, pretty lightweight. I would give a caution to those who adjust the windage on the body of the light, though. I stripped the adjustment bolt the first time I tried to set it. I was pretty upset over it, but Opticsplanet and Streamlight were pretty cool to exchange it since I had it less than a week. i would give it 5 stars but I lost 10 dollars on my purchase by paying to return it myself. That's standing behind your products, I guess. The light on it is pretty bright, and the laser is pretty cool, so the product itself is pretty cool and not 400 bucks like that Veridian light. Fits perfectly on my FNP-9 with the B key. If the windage adjustment bolt on my unit didn't strip I would have given this 5 stars, and 6 stars if I didn't have to pay to return it myself. Remember when you read this that I am just beginning at pistol marksmanship and may have man-handled the adjustment bolts with my lack of finesse. Nonetheless, I had an issue with it so I cannot rate it perfectly. It is an amazing product, so if you are thinking about getting one.... get one. And treat it like the precision instrument it is =/

Streamlight (Inc. ) has developed a light weight and reasonably priced tactical light with laser sight. The TLR-4 comes with "keys" which enable it be attached to a variety of different handguns equipped with HK and USP rails

The TLR-4 uses C4 LED a Streamlight designed LED which is extremely bright. The light is 110 lumens which will illuminate your target area. The laser is a red 640-660nm (what is nm?) and is adjustable so you can sight in with your pistol up and down or left and right

There are several ways to use TLR-4: flashlight only, laser only or flashlight and laser combined. Unfortunately, there is no strobe setting on the light. To operate the light there is a selector switch which turns it on. The laser has a small( switch, knob?) which you toggle left and right.

The LED is estimated to last 50,000 hours which is more than a lifetime of use. The body of the light is made of a tough polymer which take a beating.

The operating temperature is from -10F to + 120 degrees which will cover most operating environments. The unit is powered by one CR2 lithium battery. The CR2 battery is readily available since it is used by many cameras. The company claims that the laser/light on together will last 1 ½ hours while the laser alone lasts 11 hours. TLR-4® combines a bright LED and a bright red laser.

The TLR-4® retails for $ 219.00 and can be purchased at fine gun stores and online.
