The Swedish military is well known for operating in some of the coldest climates in the world. For this reason alone you can feel confident in the capabilities of any Swedish military outer wear. When you consider the reputation of quality that also comes with any Swedish military gear you will want consider Swedish military surplus first before all others. These excellent Swedish Military Motorcycle Pants are an excellent example of how the Swedes have perfected design of cold weather gear for both performance and comfort.
One of the first things you will notice about these motorcycle pants are the weight. They are built tough and feature very thick material for the outer layer with a thinner and softer synthetic fur liner. The Swedish military addressed the weight issue by implementing an integrated pair of suspenders to help balance out the weight by using your upper body as an additional support. Once you put on the pants and button up the suspenders, you will not notice the weight -- you'll be too busy being impressed with how warm and comfortable the pants are.

Very heavy duty and well made. One of the other reviewer wrote: "these are heavy/bulky and take time to get on but they are very warm and well made. They will be nice for working in cold temps or sitting in a tree stand. Probably a little warm for a lot of walking but would be great on a motorcycle"
I concur completely. Mine appear to be new, but I washed them anyway, without mishap. I am going to order a couple for my brothers.
Living in central/upstate NY, I find it difficult to find any pair of pants/overalls that are warm enough to my liking for prolonged stays outside (+5 hours) once the temperatures slip into -20/-30 with or without windchill and remain there.
To that end, these will fit the bill quite nicely. Once I get my own motorcycle as I plan to do eventually; I imagine doubly so. Get them while you can!
I received these recently as an early Christmas present to myself. Fit well, very warm, and in nice condition. A little stinky, too. I have them airing out in the garage. Too bad the weather did it's wet Midwestern warm up before I got to try these out on my Russian hack. But, it's only December. That will change again. Probably in a few hours. ;)
One surprise I did find is that I already own the Swedish military parka that goes with the pants. If the pants are anything like the parka, winter can bring on its' worst. I'm golden.
Did I say warm & weather resistant. You bet your Sorells. Mine arrives in near new condition. Was easy to assemble& remember to separate before laundering. Should get many years out of these as they are well made for a big guy like me
Like others have said, these are heavy/bulky and take time to get on but they are very warm and well made. They will be nice for working in cold temps or sitting in a tree stand. Probably a little warm for a lot of walking but would be great on a motorcycle - it's a shame that vision loss is forcing me to put mine up for sale so I can't test them first hand.
The photo associated with this item appeared to me as being used and kind of grubby.... but that is NOT the case at all. I ordered two (2) and both are in excellent, unissued, clean condition. These were made in 1963, they somewhat heavy but VERY durable. I tried one on and they will certainly keep you warm in the cold. I like the inner and outer zippers around the foot area. The leather strap for the ankle is in great new condition as well. This is high quality clothing, if you want something to keep your lower body warm this is a great choice. The price is well worth it!
I ordered these to pair up with the Swedish motorcycle jacket to create a winter riding suit for my motorcycle. Again, I am very impressed with the quality for what I just paid. They are thick canvas that breaks the wind well, and have a nice button in liner that is very warm (made of fake green fur). They have zippers on the back of the legs if you need vents, and they also have leather straps on the bottoms if you are needing to blouse them over your boots.
I wouldn't advise wearing them if you are in a hurry, because they take a little while to set up due to having lots of buttons.
I am 6'1, 195 lbs and the C52 size for these fits me perfectly (am a C54 for the jacket). Overall I am very impressed with these. I worked at a motorcycle dealership for years, and I can honestly say that you wont find warm motorcycle gear like this anywhere else for what these cost.
I purchased this a few weeks ago, brand new condition, figured since I got the jacket I should get the matching bib pants. Nice and warm, a bit big - definitely over pants, I basically waxed them for a bit more water proof-ness, but will be great for the winter months here in the New England and wet weather riding. Worth the money!
