I bought this item used, once I received it the only part that I could tell that was used is the frame. It has a few scuff but they may even be from storage. My is dated 1984. I would definitely buy another. I ordered the Swedish combat harness as well so I can sew the pouches on the side of the pack for more organized storage. Get both while you can!!

Excellent Pack, Great Price

My pack was received in fantastic shape. The bag itself looked like new and is a nice, quality material. The frame was in excellent shape with only a few scrapes in the paint. No big deal to me. Pack is comfortable and I plan an adding an ALICE pack waist belt for added support when needed. Pack has great potential for mods and I appreciate the straightforward styling and simple, rugged design.

Received this pack, it appears to be very, very slightly used if at all. Waterproof lining with 35L of capacity, metal external frame which is well made. Shoulder straps are of good, sturdy construction with webbing across the frame to keep the pack away from your back. Plenty of room inside which opens wide at the top. Room for a lot of stuff for whatever you use it for. Long adjustable straps on the top for securing wet clothes or anything. Worth the money and a very useful size.

This is an outstanding pack! It makes a great foundation for a lifetime bushcraft pack! It is lined with vinyl and is waterproof, has a big pocket inside for a shelter or bladder and has replaceable straps! Its a great pack to start with, but is easily modified to suit your needs!

This rucksack exceeded my expectations. I've already received numerous compliments and questions as to where I'd purchased the bag. The quality of this bag beats anything I've come across at my local surplus stores hands down; it's worth at least three times the amount I bought it for.

Recommended to friends and family. For a pack this quality and size with an external frame at this price is an unbeatable purchase. I will use mine for camping. I was originally going to have this to give to friends when they camp with me but Im going to use it myself.

I love this backpack for its simplicity compared to an ALICE pack with frame. Looking forwards to using it in the field. Get one before the supply ends.

Simple design, kind of '60s style external frame pack without a waist belt. While not designed for heavy loads, there is plenty of space and weight capacity for overnight trips or longer if gear is chosen carefully. Lack of waist belt will bother some folks but since the belts sometimes bother my hips, it is not a problem as long as I keep the weight reasonable. Adding a Molle type belt and even upgrading the shoulder straps should not be too difficult if deemed necessary. Simple, rugged...within its limits, it works very well.
