Sylvan Arms AR Folding Stock Adapter - Gen 3

Love it very reliable

First time installing an adapter, so yes it was challenging but once I reread the instructions I found out I missed a step. After installing this on a .300 I can’t believe how it easy and aesthetically sexy it looks. No issues firing the first round or the subsequent 100 rounds of freedom candy were non-issues. Buy with confidence and enjoy the portability, I should have bought more at the discounted price. Unfortunately, all my firearms fell overboard on a fishing trip a few days ago.

Works fine but does add weight to the weapon.

Great addition to my 300 bo pistol I built for white tail. Locks up tight, and everything cycles well. Very pleased at the added l.o.p. I wouldn’t put this on a battle rifle, but it’s cool for what it is. Caught it on sale for 119.99.

Good with angle grip and cheek rest on fiber lower!

A little on the large side so watch pulling the charging handle back but well worth it for the ability to fold the stock. Very tight and well made. I recommend it.

Not bad for the money but mine definitely has some slop in it which can be irritating.

Four stars for now only because I haven't had a chance to install this on a build yet. I've read really good reviews about the Gen3 adapter. The hinge is really robust and in the locked position the assembly is pretty tight, again, I haven't installed it yet but it looks and feels really good while working it in your hands. Will have to update this once I've had a chance to run a field test.

Excellent folding stock adapter I used the crap out of mine and it works great.

I had a cheaper knockoff adapter on the gun prior to purchasing the one. It worked for about a year before having too much play and ultimately caused cycling problems. This Sylvan adapter is a great product which is very sturdy and works perfectly!

Works great as long as your BCG has a opened end, way more compact.

I love it. Installed really easy. I installed it on a 4 1/2 inch barrel 9 mm A.R. pistol that I carry in a backpack.Was a great price compared to others. The only downsides are that I can’t store it folded with a chamber flag in it and the ATFs crazy 13.5 inch shoulder to trigger bullshit has got to be opposed.

I was super impressed with this product. Installation was a snap. It was well made with tight tolerances. Very little play in the joint when closed. Others have had concerns about removing and cleaning the bolt when this folding stock adaptor is installed. The upper and bolt can easily be removed for cleaning with the bolt extension still installed if you pull both the aft and forward pins. The upper then slides forward, up, and cleanly away. <br /><br />Mine is on a 300 BO which doesn't generate much gas pressure. The bolt extension adds one ounce of mass that I anticipated could potentially affect cycling with subsonic rounds. My set-up still ran smoothly with the additional weight. If yours does cause cycling problems, the simple solution is to remove one of the steel weights out of the buffer and replace it will an equivalent size alu or plastic sized piece to compensate for the extra ounce of the bolt extension. You could also try a lighter spring as alternatives if even needed.

I wasn't quite sure what else I could add to my shorty but, came across vids on the inter-web for the Sylvan Arms Gen. 3 folding adapter and figured, why not! Found what looked like a decent price on KS and went for it. Whilst I waited for delivery, found several review vids that were not all that flittering, but I beg to differ! The mount arrived, installed, and got to the range pronto! Overall for the price, this is a great add-on and would do it all over again without hesitation!<br />One additional point, for the naysayers this product DOES work extremely well with the CMMG Bravo .22 conversion!

The folder assembly went fine, it works as advertised, but it is a little loose when in the extended position compared to another one I have handled.

I'd give it 41/2 stars if I could. This is because it's size, you kind of need to get a different charging handle. A mil spec type works but, you will smack a knuckle eventually. The adapter is very well made, has a firm lock with no wiggle at all and locks into place when folded. Do I need to bring up the price?! Really can't beat this for the money.
