As noted, the TAPCO® AK-47 front sight kit is a TAPCO®-produced front sight kit for the AK-47 platform and any of the Kalashnikov-patterned variants chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge. It is also compatible with the SKS platform. Each front sight kit is composed of five composite front sight posts designed to replace the stock front sight posts with a thicker, more visible post. Adding to their visibility is the fact that three of these posts are made from highly-visible translucent materials, while the remaining two feature a traditional black finish and a solid red finish.
