Description
TAPCO® is a firearm parts and accessories manufacturer that is based in Kennesaw, Georgia. The company began as a small family business over 25 years ago, but has since exploded to become one of the nation's foremost manufacturers of aftermarket accessories. Unchanging, however, was the company's dedication to strong customer service and quality production. As such, TAPCO® offers a lifetime guarantee on all parts, many of which are marked "TAPCO U.S.A." to signify their proud heritage as an American-owned and operated company.
One of the parts marked "TAPCO U.S.A." is from their lauded INTRAFUSE® line of rifle and shotgun accessories – the new TAPCO® AK-47 front sight kit. As noted, the TAPCO® AK-47 front sight kit is a TAPCO®-produced front sight kit for the AK-47 platform and any of the Kalashnikov-patterned variants chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge. It is also compatible with the SKS platform. Each front sight kit is composed of five composite front sight posts designed to replace the stock front sight posts with a thicker, more visible post. Adding to their visibility is the fact that three of these posts are made from highly-visible translucent materials, while the remaining two feature a traditional black finish and a solid red finish.
Features:
- Made in the USA by TAPCO
- Includes 5 Sight Posts and Tool
- Fits SKS or AK-47 Style Firearms

Reviews
They fit in the original AK and SKS front sight block replacing the front sight post.
The only thing I didn't like about these is that they are made of plastic.
That is not all bad as plastic don't rust and they are not in a high load environment.
Because they are made of plastic, I recommend spending a couple of bucks extra and buy a tap to chase the threads out in the Site Base.
You gotta figure, some of these AK's (especially if your is built from a Parts Kit) may be up to 50 years old, as suck the threads in the mounting post they screw into are most likely due for a good cleaning and a tread chasing tap will work wonders at making these much easier to screw right in and adjust easily as you need to.
Overall a good sight post for low light as we all as daytime use. They are highly visible and make a clean sight picture much easier and quicker to acquire.
