USGI Fulton MX991/U Flashlight
The USGI Fulton MX991/U Flashlight is made to current US military specifications by the prime contractor for this combat tested and battle proven flashlight. This unique flashlight is waterproof and features an angle head design and is powered by two standard D-cell batteries. The flashlight utilizes a standard incandescent bulb and the flashlight body is made from high-impact resistant plastic which features a belt/equipment clip, tailcap lanyard ring, multi-mode switch, and tail cap storage compartment which houses multiple colored plastic lenses.

It looks just like the original. The outer cover of this replica will corrode with exposure to water or other liquid materials that can cause rusting of metal surfaces

The original flashlight from which I snagged this from lasted over 10 years and still functioned. The knob is solid metal, the switch feels good and durable, the lens seems thick and durable. It’s just nice to use for all sorts of reasons, and a great quality product for a great price. The button for the red lens has been loose since I got it, which is why it didn’t receive 5 stars, but other than that, it’s just awesome.

I still prefer these to LED flashlights because the broad-square pattern of the light is so much more useful. These old-fashioned incandescent bulbs also give more light and a whiter light, too. The small incandescent bulbs that most LED flashlights use don't get hot enough to light up this old type of flashlight bulb. But this one is the best so far. I'm using one of these to replace an ancient but beloved black light that finally gave up the ghost. I wish I could find a new black light to replace it. It used to have so many uses!

When you have this flashlights in your hands you can tell that the same care has gone into the construction of this as when the Army issues it's soldiers the same. These work well with a spare bulb and they are sturdy. The metal is heavy enough to take abuse, not as thick as those found on 2 D LED flashlights but enough to last for a very long time. And they do look the same as when you were issued them in the army. Very bright and easy to replace the LED with a D Super LED (5012 on Bates LED). Buy it, you won't be disappointed, well worth the money

I love this product! It's so much brighter than any other light I have used in the past. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't come with batteries and they are very expensive to buy.
