This aluminum sight seems well-made. The adjustment knob turns with clear detents. The box clearly states "Made in Taiwan", meaning the tiny part of China that is a democracy, NOT the Communist mainland. It is not spring-loaded; the user must manually pull it up. It then locks into place, and is released by pressing a small plunger to return it to folded status.

Super great design, i chose to go a different route because i wasn't really into the magpul brand look, found this and it keeps its zero, needs a very firm turn to click so its sturdy, went through about 500 still holding its zero.

These are great sights for the money and IMHO a much better value than polymer sights. Easy to install, easy to deploy and lock in the upright position. Nice positive detents and the windage knob. Materials and finish are first rate. BTW, the detent ball is not plastic it is CERAMIC, which is quite durable. UTG did not use steel balls on aluminum for a good reason folks, which should be obvious. I would advise against installing steel balls as other reviewers have recommended.

The packaging was very basic, but at the price I didn't expect much on that. The sights locked on to the rail real tight and seam sturdy. Honestly so far its alot better quality than I expected. Haven't tried setting them yet.will do update. (I also have the matching front sight)
