The Winchester Repeating Arms Company was founded by Oliver Winchester in 1866. Since the company's inception, it has been a leading designer of innovative arms ammunition, responsible for some of the world's most popular cartridges, including the .50 BMG and the .308 Winchester. Today, however, we are only interested in the Winchester 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition that comes packed in each NATO specification Winchester White Box.
Winchester 7.62x51mm NATO is a product from the Winchester "USA White Box" line. This product line has existed for years and is marked by its consistently high performance and outstanding value. It is sold by the box, each of which contains 20 cartridges. And though the box may be white, the product is more characteristic of gold.
As noted, each box of Winchester 7.62x51mm NATO contains 20 non-corrosive, brass-cased cartridges. Each cartridge contains a 147 gr full metal jacket bullet, which provides for positive functioning and increased muzzle velocities. These bullets feature muzzle velocities that have been observed to travel at speeds of up to 2800 fps. And as previously mentioned, these cartridges are reloadable – perfect for those who prefer to get the most "bang" for their buck. All Winchester ammunition is manufactured in the United States by the Olin Corporation at the Winchester Centerfire Operations Facility in Oxford, Mississippi.
All talk of "military-grade" firearms aside, the one thing everyone should be able to agree on is NATO specification ammunition. You would never feed your child food not cleared by the Food and Drug Administration, so why would you feed your firearms anything less than NATO specification ammunition? Consider Winchester 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition for:
- Sport shooting
- Target shooting
- Much more…
