Love this sight

I was a bit unsure when I ordered this sight, but after watching videos on youtube on how to install it, I could do a good job mounting it. I removed the factory bead and replaced it with the provided one in the XS Sight package. The only drawback is that it didn't come with the adhesive needed to bond it to the barrel. The sight itself is glued on and not screwed in. I bought J-B Weld 5,000 PSI to cement the sight. After properly affixing it, I used a small clamp to keep it in place while it dried up. After 12 hrs, it was perfectly attached. The product is well-built and sits perfectly well on my shotgun. It looks and feels like it came factory installed. The sight provides a clear and bright view in all lighting conditions. This shotgun sight, is one of the best options out there.

SUPER EASY INSTALL FOR A MAVERICK 88

I have a Mossberg Mverick 88. Installation was super easy. I unscrewed the existing sight and applied blue loctite on the new gold bead sight and screwed into the top of the barrel. Next I applied JB Weld on the Big Dot and set onto the new bead. Let set for 5 minutes and it'll never move. If you have a defensive/ home defense shotgun, you need this front sight.

There is no glow of this sight long enough to be a usefull sight. I have tried ambient light and direct exposure to a 500 lumen flash light for at least 5 hours, still IF it glows it does so only for 5 minutes and then is pitch dark again.

Before installing check bead to sight and bead to gun fit. Threads on bead supplied have 0 engagement to gun. Apparently my gun has non factory threads. Bead pocket on sight too shallow. Great idea, excellent sight and quality. BUT you need to know how to use a Dremel tool, have the right grinding tools and know how JB weld works. Understand surface preparation and be ready and able to think through the problems with out creating more. Definitely not a drop in part(at least for me)
