Softer than my issued one, weirdlyHad shemaghs in the sandbox back in '91, still use them for everything. Saw this Swedish one and figured I'd compare to my old ones. This thing is actually softer right out of the package than any military shemagh I've handled. Usually they're like sandpaper until you wash them ten times. The weave is tight, not that loose gauzy stuff that snags on everything. Swedish pattern is subtle, kinda grey-green, doesn't scream "tactical" which I appreciate for everyday wear. Washed it once in hot water to shrink it slightly came out fine, minimal bleeding. Already using it as my motorcycle neck gaiter for cool mornings. For 7 bucks I'm probably buying two more.

a warm neck is a happy neckWhy can't I resist Swedish Stuff? Is/was it Anita Eckburg? My private Idaho is a sub-zero La Dolce Vita in this knit wonder. This rounds out the Swedish kit... now if I could just get one of the Swedish winter hats in my size (to fit over my halo, of course).

Great product.Really nice to have in cold weather. I brought it skiing once and it was great for the cold wind. Mine was a little scratchy at times, but it gets better after being washed. Good value for 5 bucks.
