The Right Arm of the Free World
Designed by Dieudonné Saive at FN Herstal in Belgium and chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO, the FAL — “Fusil Automatique Léger” — was adopted by more than ninety countries, earning it the nickname “the Right Arm of the Free World.” It came in two families that matter when you’re buying parts: the metric pattern built by FN and most of the world, and the inch pattern of the British L1A1 and other Commonwealth rifles. Austria built its own licensed version, the StG58. That history is why a FAL owner ends up shopping a little bit of every NATO country’s surplus — which is exactly what you’ll find here.

The heart of the page is the FAL Magazine — a 20-round, metric-pattern steel magazine in .308/7.62×51 with a bolt-hold-open follower and witness holes, sitting right alongside our other .308 battle-rifle magazines.
