Shipping Restrictions

United Defense LLC is committed to full compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding the sale and shipment of firearms and related accessories. The product categories below are subject to shipping restrictions that vary by jurisdiction. These restrictions are subject to change without notice; orders may be cancelled or delayed during fulfillment if they fail a compliance check.

Order Review Process

After your order is submitted, it will undergo our review. This process utilizes current data sources to ensure that, prior to shipment, all of the items in your order are legal to ship to your location. Restrictions listed on this page may not be exhaustive — orders may be cancelled or delayed if additional restrictions are identified during fulfillment.

Compliance is our standing commitment. Every order is reviewed against current federal, state, and local regulations before it leaves our warehouse.

General Shipping Restrictions

No shipments of any product to minors. If indicators show intent to deliver to a minor, the order will be cancelled.
No direct or indirect export of goods.
Orders placed from IP addresses outside of the United States may be cancelled.
Orders are reviewed after being accepted — any non-compliant order will be cancelled.
Goods requiring DOT shipping methods (e.g. ammunition, pepper sprays) will only be sent using approved methods.

FFL Required

Firearms

Firearms are only shipped to Federal Firearms License (FFL) holders.
All submitted Federal Firearms Licenses are verified using the ATF FFL eZCheck website.
No shipments of restricted firearms to states with restrictions — including to FFL holders.
All shipments of firearms to California will include a Firearms Shipment Approval letter.

Firearm Magazines

Magazine restrictions vary by capacity tier. Low-capacity magazines (1–10 rounds) ship broadly with a narrow restricted-region set; capacities above 10 rounds face substantially wider state-level restrictions.

1–10 Rounds Low-Capacity Tier

No shipments to: Washington DC; Marin, Napa, Ventura, or Yolo Counties in California; Massachusetts; or Puerto Rico.

11+ Rounds High-Capacity Tier

No shipments to: Washington DC; California; Connecticut; Hawaii; the Illinois cities of Aurora, Calumet Park, Chicago, Cook County, Dolton, Hazel Crest, Highland Park, Homewood, North Chicago, and Skokie; Massachusetts; Maryland; New Jersey; New York; Washington; or Puerto Rico.

Additional magazine restrictions:

No shipments to convicted felons.
No shipments to restricted states regardless of LEOSA status.
Exception: verified accredited Law Enforcement Agencies upon submission of a purchase request on agency letterhead.

Assault Rifle Parts

No shipments to DC, California, Massachusetts, or Puerto Rico.

Barrels

No shipments to DC, California, Massachusetts, or Puerto Rico.

Grenade Launchers & Adapters

No shipments to DC, California, Massachusetts, or Puerto Rico.

Machine Gun Parts

No shipments to DC, California, Massachusetts, or Puerto Rico. May require verification of SOT or Form 4.

Pistol Parts Kits

No shipments to DC; the Illinois cities of Aurora, Calumet Park, Chicago, Cook County, Dolton, Hazel Crest, Highland Park, Homewood, North Chicago, or Skokie; Massachusetts; or Puerto Rico.

Additional firearm parts restrictions:

No shipments to convicted felons.

No shipments to DC, California, Delaware, Chicago Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, or Puerto Rico.

CO2 Cartridges

No shipments to DC, Massachusetts, or Puerto Rico.

Knives

Bowie Knives

No shipments to DC; Marin, Napa, Ventura, or Yolo Counties in California; Connecticut; Chicago, Peoria, or Melrose Park in Illinois; Massachusetts; or Puerto Rico.

Fighting Knives

No shipments to DC; Marin, Napa, Ventura, or Yolo Counties in California; Connecticut; Chicago, Peoria, or Melrose Park in Illinois; Massachusetts; or Puerto Rico.

Fixed Blade Knives

No shipments to DC; Marin, Napa, Ventura, or Yolo Counties in California; Massachusetts; or Puerto Rico.

Spring-Assisted & Switchblades

No shipments to DC, California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, or Puerto Rico.

Pepper Spray

No shipments to:

Washington DC; California; Crawford County or Denison, Iowa; Chicago, Illinois; Massachusetts; New York; or Puerto Rico.

All orders placed are subject to review prior to shipping — regardless of product restrictions.
Some orders may require verification by phone.
United Defense LLC reserves the right to cancel any order suspected of attempting to circumvent policy restrictions.
