The default ship method most of our orders use. Cheaper than a Big Mac, fast enough that the speed difference vs. expedited carriers is usually a single business day. Rate scales modestly with weight while staying the lowest cost option in the catalog.

  • Valid for shipping destinations in the lower-48 states
  • Weight limit: 20 lb per order — heavier orders fall back to Best Value rates
  • Excludes products covered by DOT Special Shipping Regulations (see below)

Restocking fee on free-shipping returns: Orders that qualified for free shipping have a $9.95 restocking fee applied if any items are returned. The fee is deducted from the total refund to cover handling, processing, and the shipping cost we absorbed on the outbound side. Doesn’t apply to Best Value orders.

DOT Special Shipping Regulations

Why some products ship at a different rate

Several product categories are subject to U.S. Department of Transportation hazardous-material or regulated-shipping requirements. We follow every one of them — specific packing materials, precise labeling, and additional shipping paperwork at the time of dispatch. The cost reflects that, and these products fall outside the Best Value and Free Shipping rate tiers.

Products with Regulated Shipping

  • Ammunition

    Ammunition and any product meeting the federal definition of ammunition (loaded cartridges, primed cases, and explosive components).

  • Firearms

    Handguns, rifles, shotguns, and NFA-regulated firearms. All firearm shipments require FFL transfer at the receiving end — see our shipping restrictions page for state-by-state firearm rules.

  • Compressed Gases (incl. Pepper Spray)

    Anything stored under pressure: pepper spray canisters, CO2 cartridges, propane and similar. DOT classifies these as hazardous materials requiring ORM-D or limited-quantity labeling.

  • Lithium Batteries & Battery-Containing Products

    Lithium-ion and lithium-metal batteries, plus any product with internal lithium power storage (flashlights, optics with battery packs, electronic devices). FAA and DOT shipping classifications apply.
