NFA / Class 3 Items at Keep Shooting
Keep Shooting is a federally licensed FFL/SOT dealer offering suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and select machine guns under the National Firearms Act. As of January 1, 2026, the $200 NFA tax stamp has been eliminated for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs — and eForm 4 approvals are now averaging just 4 days for individuals and 22 days for trusts. There has never been a better time to own your first suppressor or SBR. Every NFA item we list is physically in stock, and we ship directly to your local SOT dealer for Form 4 processing and pickup.
Our suppressor inventory includes standalone cans and integrally suppressed firearms from Rugged Suppressors, Gemtech, Yankee Hill Machine, Bushmaster, and B&T. The Rugged Obsidian 45 and Obsidian 9 deliver multi-caliber versatility for handgun shooters. The Gemtech GM-22 and Rugged Mustang22 and Oculus22 cover the rimfire market at entry-level pricing. The YHM Turbo AR15 Integral Suppressor System and Gemtech Integra 15-22 offer permanently attached suppressed uppers for a streamlined platform. The B&T Station Six pistols in 9mm and .45 ACP deliver factory-integrated suppression in a compact, integrally suppressed package. For SBRs, the Q Sugar Weasel in .300 Blackout, the Thompson M1 SBR, and the Zastava Arms AK47 Krinkov each bring a distinct character — from modern subsonic optimization to WWII nostalgia to Cold War Eastern Bloc heritage. The Mossberg 590A1 and Kel-Tec KSG round out the catalog as short-barreled shotguns built for close-quarters defense.
The NFA purchase process has become faster and more affordable than at any point in the Act's 90-year history. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed July 4, 2025, reduced the transfer tax to $0 for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs effective January 1, 2026 — eliminating the $200-per-item cost that had been a barrier since 1934. Combined with the ATF's eForm 4 system that has compressed approval times from 6–12 months down to single-digit days, the practical barriers to NFA ownership have largely disappeared. The NFA itself has not been repealed — all regulatory requirements remain, including the Form 4 application, FBI background check, passport photo, fingerprints, and Chief Law Enforcement Officer notification — but the process is now measured in days, not months, and costs nothing beyond the price of the item itself. Machine guns and destructive devices still require a $200 tax stamp.
To purchase an NFA item from Keep Shooting, place your order online and provide the details of a local FFL/SOT dealer who will receive the transfer. We file a Form 3 (tax-exempt dealer-to-dealer transfer) and ship the item to your selected dealer once approved. At your local dealer, you complete the eForm 4 application with photos and fingerprints, and the ATF processes your approval — currently averaging 4 days for individual applicants. Upon approval, you visit your dealer, complete a Form 4473 and NICS background check, and take your NFA item home. Filing as an NFA trust allows multiple trustees to legally possess the item but adds processing time. State laws vary — suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs are not legal in all states, and it is the buyer's responsibility to verify compliance with all applicable laws before purchasing.
