The United Defense 1911 Main Spring is a mil-spec replacement hammer spring for the M1911 platform. It powers the hammer fall that ignites the primer on every shot, making it one of the most important — and most commonly worn — springs in the pistol. 1911 Main SpringBought one of these as a back up replacement for my Springfield. I haven't gotten to the range yet with it to see how it works in my gun, but I installed it and the gun seems to function fine and I'm looking forward to testing it out. If this works for me, it will be a great deal for five dollars. I will update my review after I give it a good work out.
