Color me impressedI needed a rainproof shell, as my old goretex jacket was delaminating from age. I thought $80 was a darn good price for a Gore-tex jacket, so I bought it. This is constructed of heavier material than my old shell. The basic jacket is a serious garment, heavy-duty outer shell with two bellows pockets and two handwarmer pockets as well as a zipped inner pocket. The jacket sleeves have inner elastic cuffs to keep wind and rain out. The nylon double zipper is also heavy and well made, supplemented by a velcroed storm flap. Roll-up hood in the collar as well. The jacket comes with a zip-out liner for serious cold, with full sleeves that button into the garment like the M65 field jacket, but thicker. I haven't worn it in winter yet, but I suspect it will be quite warm enough. I don't think I could have found a better jacket for twice the price.

Jacket does what it saysPurchased 2 of these for motorcycle riding. Will definitely keep you warm and with the removable lining they are even more versatile. Just rode through 50 miles of rain And kept completely dry.
