This United Defense morale patch carries the flag credited to Edward Teach, the pirate known as Blackbeard: a horned skeleton holding an hourglass and aiming a spear at a bleeding heart. It measures 2 x 3 inches and has a hook backing, so it goes straight onto the loop panels already sewn into many caps, packs and jackets. Fit And Attachment

The patch needs a loop panel to attach to. Tactical caps, plate carriers, assault packs and many field jackets have one built in, usually on the front, sleeve or flap. If your gear has no loop panel, you can sew a loop strip on first and then mount the patch to it. At 2 x 3 inches it sits comfortably alongside a flag or name tape of the same size.
