MTP Wet Weather Trousers

These are British Army issue wet weather trousers in MTP, meant to go on over your regular trousers when the rain sets in. The label designates them MVP, short for Moisture Vapour Permeable: the fabric keeps rain out while letting sweat escape as vapor, so you stay drier from the inside as well. They suit hikers, hunters, campers, cadets and anyone building out a set of British kit.

Features

• MTP Camouflage — Multi-Terrain Pattern is the British Army's camouflage, a mix of greens, browns and tans meant to blend into a wide range of ground, and the label carries its registered design number.
• PTFE Membrane Construction — The label lists a 100% polyamide (nylon) outer bonded to a PTFE membrane, a thin layer with pores small enough to stop water droplets but large enough to let water vapor out.
• Drawcord Waist With Cord Lock — A tan drawcord with a black spring-loaded toggle lets you cinch the waist down over whatever you are wearing underneath.
• Hip Access Openings — Angled openings at each hip let you reach through to the pockets of the trousers worn beneath.
• Zipped Lower Legs — A long zip up the outside of each lower leg opens the cuff wide, so you can pull the trousers on and off without taking your boots off.
• Hook-And-Loop Ankle Tabs — An adjustable tab at each ankle closes the cuff around your boot to keep out rain, mud and drafts.
• NATO Stock Numbered — The label carries NSN 8415-99-667-4347, the NATO Stock Number militaries use to catalogue an exact item, along with contract number DC2A/2001.
• Machine Washable — Care instructions call for a 40°C (104°F) synthetic wash and a low-heat tumble dry, with no bleach and no dry cleaning.

Sizing follows the British Army metric system, printed on the label in centimeters as three figures.
