Absolutely Pours Rain And I Stay DryOk so I live in the Pacific Northwest and rain is basically a lifestyle here. I have spent STUPID amounts of money on rain jackets over the years — North Face, Columbia, Marmot, you name it. Saw this British MOD jacket pop up while I was browsing surplus stuff and figured for the price why not try something different. Holy cow. This thing is legitimately waterproof, not "water resistant" like half the jackets that claim to be, actually WATERPROOF. I wore it during a full day of fishing in steady rain two weekends ago and I was completely dry underneath. The breathability is surprisingly decent too. Most waterproof jackets turn you into a walking sauna but this one lets enough air through that I wasn't soaking myself from sweat. You can tell the Brits actually designed this for people who had to stand outside in garbage weather for hours on end doing real work. The fit is a little boxy compared to modern athletic-cut rain shells but honestly I prefer that because I can layer a fleece underneath no problem. Mine came with a small MOD Police patch on one shoulder which I think looks cool but I could see how some people might want to remove it. Heads up that the listing says it may vary from the picture and mine definitely did slightly different pocket configuration than what's shown but its still a great jacket so I dont care.
