Quality item - rugged, not stylish 0 people found this helpful

    Overall Rating

Overall this item works well. There are two "sides" to this bag. The front pocket is for holding and/or securing your device(s) in. This front pocket has a nice zipper that does a great job keeping everything inside. There is a front loop with some Velcro on it. I'm not sure what this loop/velcro was intended for, I just use it to keep the carrying handle pulled in tight. The main portion of the pouch (back side) holds your device(s) nicely. This is a pouch, with a very thin and very short leather strap sewn along the bottom of the front panel that allows you to close the pouch if needed. It's nice to have your devices inside a protective pocket, but not always needed. It's quite useful when on an airplane, though. I just like to have my devices close to me at all times. For example, when I'm at home and on the couch watching TV, I keep my iPhone close by. It doesn't take up much room, is light weight, holds my items in a nice, organized manner, AND, looks like the cheap travel bag that is does. This little pouch has held my device(s) in very well, I've had a few dings to the plastic front pouch that did nothing to the pouch's ability to hold my items. For my usage of the device holder, the only thing that would make it better would be to have more inside pocket(s) for holding the extra cord that I often need when using a portable device, for instance. There are several things I'd change, however, as I feel this could be a more rugged and classy bag. First off, change the material of the bag from what looks like cheap (but is actually nice), coarse material to leather or even some nylon. This would make it much classier. Next, replace the small loop/Velcro closure for the front flap with a large leather clasp or large loop and buckle. I think the leather version would add some more "manliness" to the bag. Lastly, move the opening from the top to the front, with the flap on the bottom of

Excellent for a tablet and iPod and the occasional pair of sunglasses 0 people found this helpful

For my iPad mini (non-HD) with BT keyboard and the SmartCover the size seems about right. For me this works great as a daily driver. There are 2 exterior front pockets, 1 to hold your sunglasses and 1 for your cables and charger, with velcro closing. There is a flap in the back of the portfolio with velcro and pockets. The one behind the iPad has some velcro which could potentially scratch the screen of your iPad if you don't place it just right, I think this will just need some time. There is also a small inside front pouch which could hold a passport or wallet. There is an exterior pocket which can hold a BIG iPod or another device (see the picture), which would work well for my new Sony NEX-5n, I may try it for a rangefinder or the wife's compact. My opinion of the main interior is not so great. I don't think it would hold an iPad unless you were really just keeping it there temporarily. The flap which snaps to the back of the portfolio to close up has 2 very small (thumb width or less) pockets, maybe one of these could hold a Kindle Fire, but not the iPad. My biggest problem with the bag is that when you are carrying a bigger device (e.g. the NEX-5n) it makes it really difficult to keep the strap in place because it slips out of the clip (these types of straps can slide around a lot and can be frustrating, I have found them best on the waist type, see some pictures). Another complaint, it's too short. My back just gets sore, so a longer strap would help a lot. It's about an inch too short for me (I am 5' 10"). There is no way I would use this for hiking or anything else with lots of weight in it. My brother in law, is very slim, could easily use this for a daily driver and he would be happy with the strap, but he has the shoulder problems I have and will probably use a more sporty bag

A very useful bag. Great for holding small things like a passport and cellphone. The card compartment is a perfect fit for a cellphone. Great bag for those that want to be prepared. I've taken this bag everywhere from airports to baseball stadiums.
