This is Browning's own replacement magazine for the 1911-22, the scaled-down .22 LR version of the classic 1911 pistol. Extra magazines mean less time reloading at the bench and more time shooting, and a spare is worth having in the range bag in case one gets lost or damaged. It suits plinkers, new shooters learning on rimfire, and 1911 owners who practice cheaply with a .22.

• Follower Thumb Tab — A ribbed button on the side lets you pull the follower (the platform the rounds sit on) down with your thumb, which makes loading small rimfire cartridges much easier.
• Open Side Slots — Long cutouts in the body show how many rounds are left and give dirt and debris somewhere to go.
• Polymer Base Pad — A flared black baseplate gives your palm a solid surface for seating the magazine and something to grip when you pull it out.

Fit And Construction

The magazine is sized for the Browning 1911-22 frame and will not fit a full-size centerfire 1911, since the rimfire pistol is smaller and uses a different cartridge. The body is blued steel, with a polymer follower tab and base pad. Check your pistol's model markings before you order, and keep the magazine lightly cleaned, because rimfire ammunition leaves more fouling than centerfire.
