Chinese Army 1970 Belt

(2)
The Chinese Army 1970 Belt is a canvas belt made for soldiers in the Chinese Army. China's Army is known as People's Liberation Army (PLA) and when this belt was made the PLA was very active in the Vietnam War. This belt would be correct for any PLA uniform that would have been worn during the Vietnam War era.

Details

The Chinese Army 1970 Pattern Belt is a canvas belt issued by the People's Liberation Army in 1970. Soldiers in the PLA made extensive use of this belt while deployed to advise the Viet Cong.

Chinese Army surplus items are no where near as common as other national military surplus. Due to extensive programs of giving military goods to other nations for good will and restrictions from export PLA gear is very rare. We were offered a small amount of military surplus from Vietnam and included were these PLA issued belts which likely were unused war surplus from the PLA's involvement in the Vietnam War.
