Chinese Army Vintage Canteen

Chinese Insulated Canteen

This is a Chinese military canteen with a rounded green plastic body, a deep screw-on cap and a webbing harness with a shoulder sling. Its label calls it a military insulated water bottle (军用保温壶), meaning the body is built to help hold a drink's temperature. It suits collectors of Chinese kit, reenactors who need correct period gear, and anyone who wants an authentic canteen for the shelf or the trail.

Features

• Insulated Bottle Design — The factory label identifies this as a military insulated bottle, made to help keep hot or cold drinks closer to their starting temperature.
• Two-Piece Molded Body — Upper and lower plastic shells join at a seam around the middle, giving the canteen its rounded, egg-like shape.
• Cup-Shaped Screw Cap — A deep, wide cap threads down over the neck and covers the opening completely.
• Stepped Threaded Neck — The neck has more than one band of threads to give the cap a secure seat.
• Olive Drab Webbing Harness — A band of olive drab (the muted military green) woven webbing wraps the body, and a vertical strap runs underneath to cradle it.
• Adjustable Shoulder Sling — The carry strap has metal slide buckles so you can set the length for wearing across the body or over one shoulder.
• Original Factory Label — The printed label carries the Zhufeng (珠峰) name along with the maker and supervising institute in Chinese.
• Genuine Chinese Military Issue — It was produced for China's armed forces, not as a commercial look-alike.

Maker and Markings

The label names the Zhuji Plastics General Factory in Zhejiang Province (浙江省诸暨塑料总厂) as the maker. It also states that production was supervised by Institute 33 of the Ministry of Aerospace (航天部三十三所监制), so the design was checked by a state technical body. For collectors, markings like these tie the canteen to its source and set it apart from unmarked civilian bottles.
