Czech VZ 26 Magazine
This is a 30-round steel box magazine for the Czech vz. 26, with "vz." short for vzor, the Czech word for model. It was made for the Czech Army and is original issue rather than a commercial aftermarket part. Owners use it as a spare for their rifle, and collectors keep it to round out a Czech military display.
Features
- Genuine Czech Army Issue — The magazine was produced for and issued to the Czech military, so its provenance is government contract rather than civilian manufacture.
- 30-Round Capacity — The magazine body is sized to hold 30 cartridges.
- Stamped Steel Body — The body is pressed from sheet steel, the method military factories used to turn out strong magazines quickly and in volume.
- Pressed Reinforcing Rib — A recessed channel runs most of the length of the side wall and stiffens the flat steel so the body holds its shape.
- Folded Steel Floorplate — A steel plate closes off the base and wraps over the bottom edge of the body.
- Straight Box Profile — The body is straight rather than curved, so it lies flat in storage and slides easily into a magazine pouch.
- Notched Rear Spine — Cutouts along the back edge are part of the original stamped pattern.
- Gray Steel Finish — The plain gray metal finish matches the utilitarian look of Czech service kit from the period.
Czech Army Issue
This magazine follows the original military specification, with an all-steel stamped body, a ribbed side wall and a folded floorplate. Issued magazines like this one were built to the army's standard for field use, which is why owners of original firearms look for them. Please confirm that your firearm is a vz. 26 before ordering, because Czech arms of the era used several different magazine patterns.
