Dutch Army Woodland DPM Field Jacket
The Dutch Army Woodland DPM Field Jacket is a current-issue field jacket worn by soldiers in the Royal Netherlands Army. These field jackets are worn over a soldiers combat shirt, with the jackets providing an outer layer to help provide a camouflaged outer layer and protection. This style of field jacket is in use by almost all NATO aligned military forces, with this Dutch version being one of the best made and least used we have seen available on the surplus market.
This jacket would make an ideal outer layer jacket for those cool nights, or to strike a bold statement when worn with your civilian clothes. The snap up front makes this jacket easy to put on and easy to remove, and the cut will look good regardless of it being either snapped or unsnapped. You will appreciate the heavy weight material used to construct the jacket, which will help keep out cold wind and bad weather.
Lots of the stuff I buy here at keep shooting is described as "surplus used" and ends up being brand new. This is yet another one of these items. Looks really nice with the Dutch DPM trousers I got here, too. While I am giving this item 5 stars all around, I really wouldn't call it a "Field Jacket" in the traditional sense most Americans think of when compared to the classic USGI M65 Field Jacket. It's still a great looking and high quality jacket, but it only has two front pockets, snap buttons instead of a zipper front, no drawstring waist or hem, no interior buttons for a liner, and no concealable hood in the collar. It's more of a light work jacket. I would describe it as being somewhere in between a standard field jacket and a BDU blouse top. Still a really nice piece of gear at a great price but I would stop just short of calling it an actual field jacket. Very pleased with my purchase.
Work or field tough enuf
Care in sizing as large size biggest at best to fit up to a fit snug XL . Great camo new condition jacket with smart look and different pattern to the knowing eye. To match the trouser on last order and to know these are govn't issue the quality is built in. Beat the Far East and get Euro quality that I think is far better at a much better price
