Federal Premium Personal Defense Reduced Recoil 12 Gauge Buckshot Ammo

Reduced Recoil 00 Buck

Federal Premium Personal Defense Reduced Recoil is a 12 gauge buckshot load built for home and personal defense. Each 2-3/4 inch shell carries nine copper-plated 00 pellets at 1,145 feet per second, a softer load than full-power buckshot, so the gun moves less and you get back on target sooner for a follow-up shot. It suits shooters who keep a pump or semi-auto shotgun for protection and want buckshot that is easier to control.

Features

• 12 Gauge, 2-3/4 Inch Shell — The standard 12 gauge length, which chambers in any 12 gauge shotgun marked for 2-3/4 inch or longer shells.
• 00 Buckshot Payload — Each shell holds nine pellets of 00, or double-aught, buckshot, one of the most common sizes chosen for defensive shotguns.
• Copper-Plated Pellets — A copper coating over the lead keeps the pellets harder and rounder as they leave the barrel, which helps them fly true.
• Reduced Recoil Load — Less kick than full-power buckshot makes the shotgun easier to manage and speeds up follow-up shots.
• 1,145 FPS Muzzle Velocity — Federal's published speed as the pellets leave the muzzle, printed on the end of the box.
• Personal Defense Line — Part of Federal Premium's Personal Defense range, loaded specifically for home and self-protection use.
• Red Hull, Brass Head — Red plastic hulls with brass-colored heads stamped "12 GA Federal" are easy to identify in a mixed ammo bag.
• Made In The USA — Loaded by Federal and marked Made in the USA on the box.
• Five-Round Box — Packed five shotshells per box, catalog number PD132 00.

Fit And Compatibility

These are standard 2-3/4 inch 12 gauge shells, so they fit any 12 gauge shotgun chambered for 2-3/4, 3 or 3-1/2 inch shells. Lighter recoil loads can cycle differently in some semi-automatic actions, so run a box through your own shotgun before trusting it for defense. Pump and break-action guns are not affected by recoil level.
