Surprisingly SharpGot this as a fun addition to my camping kit and honestly didnt expect much for the price but man this thing is SHARP right out of the package. The hooked blade tucks back into the handle which is nice so your not gonna accidentally poke yourself reaching into your pack. I been using it to slice paracord and cut open bags of freeze dried food on trips and it goes through that stuff like butter. The lanyard hole is handy too, I clipped it to my pack with some 550 cord so I dont lose it. Only thing is the blade is pretty short so your not gonna be cutting anything thick with it, and I noticed its getting a little dull after a couple months of regular use. Not sure how easy its gonna be to sharpen that hook shape but for the price I cant really complain.

Solid Surplus CutterAs someone who has actually jumped out of airplanes I can appreciate how important a reliable line cutter is. This French model is really well thought out. The one hand operation is smooth and intuitive even with gloves on which is exactly what you would need in an emergency. The blade is short but incredibly sharp and the hook design makes it perfect for catching and slicing cord or line material. I have started carrying it as a utility knife when I go camping and it works great for cutting paracord and small rope. This is real military equipment built to save lives and you can feel that quality in your hand.
