The French Foreign Legion and the Parachute Brigade utilized this 3 grenade pouch in virtually every conflict until it was retired in 1989. Originally patterned after the US WWII era three grenade pouch, but with a unique and distinctively French appearance.

French Three Grenade Pouch
One of the most interesting aspects of this type of product is how it can be repurposed for a wide variety of daily uses. This French 3 Grenade Pouch is screaming out to be repurposed for any number of uses.
Working on a project and need to carry small tools? You can easily fit an assortment of multi-tools, small blades, screws, and other gear into each pouch and attach it to your tool belt. Your ability to use this pouch is only really limited by your own creativity and individual needs.
I bought this thing to make some custom belt pouches for shotgun shells to use on an ALICE pistol belt. The original old USGI shot shell pouches are hard to find and kinda pricey, and the newer reproduction ones look cheaply made, so I bought one of these to custom stitch my own. I'm going to cut them into 3 separate pouches, use to extra belt loop fabric on top to make loops on the backs for metal ALICE clips, then sew some elastic bands on the inside walls to hold 2X rows of six 12 gauge shells. The pouch I received was in very good shape, though it does have a small amount of crusty green verdigris on the brass snap fasteners. This should clean up with a little baking soda and a toothbrush though.
A great piece of gear
Review byValentino Banat Wilderness & Urban Survival Training
I got two just to be sure I have enough. I don't took them yet in the field, but I am happy with the look, quality and design. Most likely one will be a first aid pouch that will be permanent with my Alpine Italian rucksack. If you like the old vintage look and style equipment and something build for life. Then go ahead and buy this product, you will not feel sorry :)
Sale price I could pass up
I still haven't decided on a use for this as of yet but a 50 cents deal is a deal I couldn't pass up!
Great shooting gear.
Got 3 for the price break. Ruger 10/22 clips [10 rd] fit perfectly plus 50 rd boxes of ammo. Also 9 mm. clips.
Lots of Uses
There are a lot of different uses for this pouch. I've been using mine for shooting, two pouches for ammunition and another for a cleaning kit. This also works well with holding small objects like screws or nails. The buttons are easy to open, but remain closed when you want them to. Mine was in excellent shape.
Great SKS Clip Pouch
Each pocket can comfortably hold five stripper clips full of ammunition each. Fits on my belt great, and the leg tie helps enormously.
I actually got this pouch to go with my other military surplus gear, but since i got a few i use them for holding tools for my guns
using this as a tool belt and it looks very cool and vintage, great product for the money
Decent belt pouch
These are meant to hang from the belt and feature a pair of leg ties. Each pouch is roughly the size of a soup can, so they appear to be designed around canister grenades (smoke, flashbang, etc) instead of the somewhat smaller frag grenades.
good tool pouch
I like these. Rugged made, can be hung on a tool belt as a small parts and fitting pouch. Great if you work on ladders or in places you do not want to keep running back and forth to get another part while working.
French Grenade Pouch
This could be used for a multitude applications. I have two that seem to be unissued and love I the options it gives me. Great piece of gear.
my new pencil case
I can definitely see a lot of practical purposes for this. I intend to use it to carry pens and pencils when I'm travelling, but it's great for other things too. The canvas on mine was rather dirty, but cleaning it shouldn't be a problem.
Love the heavy green canvas! Don't know what I'll do with it yet, but I will definitely order more on my next purchase. Like the leg ties and the pockets are a decent workable size
This is a really rugged pouch that could hold a variety of smaller tools, and I like the versatility of having the ties
I bought a few of these without a real plan as to what I was going to use them for. They are very well made and can hold a number of different items. Now the hard part is deciding what I'm going to put inside.
French Grenade Pouch
This could be used to hold all kinds of things. Has a pistol belt clip on the back, and drain holes under each pouch. Clasps are very secure. Looks practically new and possibly unissued.
These pouches are well made, nice design and ease of access for ammo, tools, etc. I like the leg ties also, keeps everything snug.
