Purchased when these posted 3 yrs ago .like new condition, great city/ highway motorcycle jacket. Padding in elbows/shoulder. Collar can be buttoned down or up tucked under helmet high vis reflective piping& panels. As others reviewed govt issue quality superb.
Good value for the money.
I had looked at this item several times and not bought it. Then on a whim I thought oh well it's pretty cheap, if I don't like it I'm not out much. Now that I got it I'm pretty happy with it. Rode my motorcycle yesterday for a while in 55 degree farenheit temps and stayed comfortable. Great wind resistance, looks to be fairly water resistant also, as water beads on it. Fleece liner is not removable, so once temps get above 60 or 65 f. This jacket will be way too hot too wear. It does have some thin foam padding at shoulders and elbows. Also pockets are pretty roomy. I like the high collar as it comes up and above my helmet by at least an inch. That helps keep the wind off my neck and from blowing up under the helmet. The collar can be folded back when temps rise and it will be out of the way. No belt is included for the belt loops which are at waist height but I bought a grey nylon belt and with that cinched tight it really seals the jacket up from wind that would blow up under it. So I recommend getting a belt. Color compliments the blue, white, black, and chrome of my Triumph Scrambler very well. Also this jacket has the silver reflective piping and strips all over which looks good and should provide for increased nighttime visibility. It has some grommets in each armpit to aid with venting which I like. Zippers all seem beefy and smooth. All pockets are covered with a flap of material and have a strip of Velcro to hold the flap down. This should keep pockets dry if you happen to get caught in a little rain. Sticking is impeccable. No loose threads or uneven stiches. Seems very sturdy and feels like quality garment. My only complaint besides the liner not being removable is that the sleeves are a little short. I'm 6'4" , 220lbs and I bought a 2xl. Xl probably would be ok as it is a little big on me. But as I said sleeves could be another 2 inches longer. I find with the European stuff the sleeves are usually like this though as they are not as big as Americans typically. Still this is a good jacket for the price and I'm glad I purchased it. It also has several spots of the Velcro loop material sewn on the shoulders and chest. This is good as I've bought several of the "tactical patches" to customize the jacket with. Thats fun. If your looking for a cool weather riding jacket this may be a good choice. I could easily see the motorcycle superstores selling this for $200 or more.
The coat I received appears to be brand new. High quality and seems warm. Would be a great motorcycle coat. Does have built in pads in the shoulder and elbow for crash protection.
