Excellent quality at an excellent price!This French peacoat is brand new, of excellent quality. Lighter than its American counterpart, it is perfect for West Coast (or similar) climates, and probably Spring and Fall in colder climes. It receives many compliments for its looks. Two outside pockets, one interior.
Good looks, high quality, handsome brass anchor buttons, sewn-on insignia for French boot-camp graduate (matelot). Very well suited for milder winter cilmates.
Probably not warm enough for more extreme winter climates, but fine for Spring and Fall in those places.

A Good BuyThis is a nice coat at a good price: sturdy & stylish. Kudos for KeepShooting for listing it with actual measurements rather than the generic "S-M-L-XL" that other vendors use. That allowed me to order a coat that fits.

Nice xoatI really like this coat. It looks very nice, and it's made very well. This thing is fairly heavy, and includes a polyester-ish lining. No date on the tag, but it looks like these are from the '80s or '90s. The insignia can be removed with a seam ripper if you prefer, so you can get a nice-looking coat at low cost without people knowing it's surplus. Unlike the picture, the color of this coat is more of a navy blue. Which isn't a problem as far as I'm concerned, of course. Still, something to keep in mind.
