This is a Szco reproduction of the M38 helmet worn by Germany's WWII Fallschirmjäger, the Luftwaffe's airborne troops. The M38 dropped the flared brim of the standard German infantry helmet, giving a close, rounded profile that was less likely to catch the wind or snag during a parachute jump. Szco builds it for reenactors, living-history groups and collectors who want the correct paratrooper silhouette without risking a genuine wartime piece.
