This is the factory firing pin spring Glock installs in its own pistols, sold under part number SP00063. The firing pin spring, also called the striker spring, is the small coil that drives the firing pin forward to hit the primer when the trigger releases it. Over thousands of cycles any spring loses some tension, and a tired striker spring can lead to light primer strikes. Swap this one in and the pistol is back to factory specification.
