Italian Air Force Coffee Cup Set

Italian Air Force Cup Set

This is a genuine Italian Air Force coffee cup and matching saucer, white ceramic tableware printed with the service's crowned eagle crest. It was made for use, not for a gift shop, and it still does the job it was built for: holding a coffee. Collectors of Italian military items, aviation enthusiasts and anyone who wants a piece of real service history on the shelf or the breakfast table will find it fits right in.

Features

• Cup And Saucer Set — You get one cup and one matching saucer, both carrying the same blue trim.
• Air Force Crest — The front of the cup carries a blue printed insignia showing a crown above a letter R flanked by outspread eagle wings.
• Blue Pinstripe Trim — A single fine blue line runs around the rim of the cup and around the outer edge of the saucer.
• White Glazed Ceramic — Both pieces have a smooth, glossy white glaze that sets off the blue crest and trim.
• Stepped Cup Profile — A banded step near the base gives the cup a solid, institutional shape typical of service tableware.
• Thick Loop Handle — A rounded ring handle sits on the side of the cup and gives a firm grip.
• Wide-Rim Saucer — A broad flat rim surrounds a central well that seats the base of the cup.
• Genuine Italian Issue — This is government tableware from the Italian armed forces, not a commercial souvenir.

Original Service Tableware

Military tableware was made in quantity for messes and canteens, so it was designed to be plain, sturdy and clearly marked with its service. The crest on this cup ties it directly to the Italian Air Force, which is what makes it interesting to collectors and reenactors who want authentic pieces. It also looks good next to other Italian surplus, or on its own as a conversation piece.
