This is an original acrylic painting of a Baltimore oriole perched among white dogwood blossoms, signed John W. Gacy in the lower right corner and signed again across the top in blue ink by Cal Ripken Jr. Gacy was convicted in 1980 of 33 murders and painted while on death row in Illinois. Ripken spent his entire Hall of Fame career with the Baltimore Orioles. A bird painting from Gacy that carries the autograph of the Orioles' best-known player is a crossover piece for advanced collectors of true-crime artifacts and baseball memorabilia.
