The Kaw Valley Precision XP Recoil Spring is a heavier-preload replacement spring for blowback pistol caliber AR carbines. In a blowback action the bolt is not locked. Only its mass and the spring hold it closed, so spring tension has a direct effect on how the gun cycles. The XP spring starts with more tension than a standard spring and keeps the bolt closed longer on each shot. It suits PCC owners running 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP or 10mm who want to tune how their carbine runs.
