The LALO Shadow Amphibian 5" is a black, mid-height tactical boot built for work that moves between water and land. LALO designed it for Special Forces use, with a drainage system that pushes water out after immersion and materials chosen to dry fast. A composite underfoot plate guards against punctures, and the low-profile shape lets the boot fit inside a swim fin. It suits maritime teams, boat crews and anyone whose route crosses surf, rivers or wet ground.

Features

• Dual Direction Drainage Ports — Ports set low in the sidewall let water escape from the boot after wading or swimming, so you are not carrying it with you on the next stretch.
• SuperFabric Overlay — A ceramic-treated textile covers the toe and forefoot to resist abrasion, repel water and stand up to blade cuts.
• Full Grain Leather Upper — The leather panels are full grain, the outer layer of the hide with the tightest fibers, which holds up to scuffing better than split or corrected leather.
• KPU Grill Panels — Molded thermoplastic polyurethane grilles over the mesh keep out sand and debris while still letting the boot breathe.
• Puncture-Resistant Composite Plate — A non-metal plate in the sole protects against sharp objects underfoot and rotates with the foot to reduce fatigue on long movements.
• Multi-Density EVA Midsole — EVA foam in different densities cushions the heel strike and gives a firmer push at toe-off, with a contoured metal arch for support.
• Slip-Resistant Rubber Outsole — The injection-molded rubber sole grips wet decks and slick surfaces, and its articulated heel and outsole shape help keep footfalls quiet.
• Fin-Compatible Vamp — The slim profile over the top of the foot lets a swim fin seat securely.
• Hidden Lace Pocket — A pocket at the collar stows the lace ends so they cannot snag on lines, brush or gear.
• Fin Lock Or IR Tape Pocket — A pocket at the heel takes a fin lock or a strip of IR glint tape, the reflective marking that shows up under night vision for friendly identification.

Construction And Materials

The upper combines full grain leather with breathable mesh, protected by KPU grilles and a SuperFabric toe overlay. Inside, a moisture-wicking, hydrophobic lining with antimicrobial treatment sheds water and helps limit odor when the boot stays damp. The 5" shaft gives ankle coverage without the weight and water retention of a taller boot, and the all-black finish works with most uniforms and kit.
