10/22 Magazine Loader

Filling Ruger 10/22 magazines by hand is slow work. The small .22LR rounds are fiddly, and the spring gets stiffer with every round you press in. The Maglula LULA loader sits over the top of a Ruger BX factory magazine, and its hinged lever pushes the stack down so each new round drops in without a fight. A matching UnLoader piece is included for emptying the magazine at the end of the day, which suits range shooters, plinkers and anyone running several 10/22 mags per session.

• Made For Ruger BX Magazines — The lever is marked ".22LR loader for 10/22 BX Ruger factory mags," and the photos show it on both the compact rotary magazine and a longer curved Ruger magazine.
• Hinged Loading Lever — Pressing the lever drives the top round and follower down, opening a gap so the next cartridge slides in under the feed lips, the bent edges at the top of the magazine that hold the rounds in place.
• Steel Pusher Insert — A metal blade on the underside of the lever does the pressing, so the contact point is not plastic rubbing against brass.
• Separate UnLoader Attachment — A second piece marked "UnLoader for 10/22 BX 22LR mags" fits the loader for stripping rounds back out of a full magazine without cycling them through the rifle.
• Press Release Tab — A tab molded with the word "Press" sits on the body for working the mechanism with a thumb.
• Lanyard Ring — A small split ring at the hinge lets you clip the loader to a range bag, lanyard or key ring so it does not go missing.

Build and Compatibility

This loader is built for .22LR in Ruger's own BX-series 10/22 magazines, and that is what the markings on both pieces state. The loader body slips over the magazine top, the lever hinges on a pinned joint, and the UnLoader clips into the same body. If you shoot aftermarket 10/22 magazines, confirm they share the factory BX dimensions before relying on a fit.
