Fit And Fitment

This magazine is cut for the SIG Sauer P229-1 only. Its body is slightly thicker than a standard P228 or early P229 magazine, which is why it carries the ribbed profile. Early 9mm P229 pistols used P228 magazines; the later P229-1 does not. If you are unsure which you have, compare a magazine that already works in your pistol against this one. A P229-1 magazine has ribs down the body, a P228 magazine is flat-sided, so match the ribs and you have the right part.
