Mil-Tec Cold Weather Suit

The Mil-Tec Cold Weather Suit is an excellent wet-weather suit from Mil-Tec of Germany. Designed based on the USGI ECWS Parka and Trousers, this high performance suit is capable of handling the harshest cold or driving rain. No other suit purpose built for cold weather and heavy rains has been as combat proven as the military ECWS which anyone familiar with will immediately recognize that this suit copies this design well.

Starting with the parka, the features you will find on this suit are well designed and placed. There are a total of four front pockets on the parka that are closed with zippers which all have pull tabs. The use of pull tabs allows you to easily open the pockets no matter what type of gloves you are wearing. The size of the pockets are large enough to easily hold important gear that you need to protect from the elements but have easy and quick access to. On each sleeve you will find another two zippered pockets and a zippered ventilation area that would be under your armpit. This ventilation area is essential for comfort when wearing this parka in the summer to handle heavy rains. The hood is removable by a zip-on design and has the same fully taped seams for enhanced water resistant properties that you will find on the parka.

With this suit you also have a pair of trousers that are capable of being worn as either overpants or standalone pants. You will appreciate the fit and features of these trousers as they have every design feature you would want. There is a drawstring waistband that closes with a snap and features a zippered fly. The top two slash style pockets are false pockets that will allow you access to your pants when using these as an outer layer. Further down on the hip level are two zippered pockets that can be used to store essentials. Rounding out these features are the half length boot zippers on the sides of the pants allowing you to quickly don these pants without needing to remove your boots.
