Folding Field Cot
The Mil-Tec Olive Drab Folding Cot lifts you off cold, damp ground and gives you a flat, taut place to sleep at camp, at a hunting lease, or in a spare room when guests stay over. Its shape follows the classic U.S. Army folding cot: an aluminum tube frame, a tensioned olive drab fabric bed, and three sets of fold-out legs. It folds in half and goes into a zippered transport bag, so it fits in a truck bed or a closet without much trouble.
Features
- Aluminum Tube Frame — The frame uses aluminum tubing roughly 2mm thick, which keeps the weight down without making it flimsy.
- 600D Oxford Polyester Bed — The sleeping surface is 600 denier polyester, a heavy, tightly woven fabric (denier measures fiber thickness, and higher numbers mean tougher cloth).
- PVC-Coated Fabric — A PVC coating on the bed shrugs off water and dirt, and you can clean it by wiping it down.
- 352 lb Weight Capacity — The cot is rated to carry up to 352 lb (160 kg).
- Full-Length Sleeping Area — Opened, it measures about 82.7 x 27.6 in (210 x 70 cm), enough for most adults to stretch out.
- Raised Three-Leg Design — Folding legs at each end and in the middle hold the bed about 16.5 in (42 cm) off the ground, away from cold and moisture.
- Folds In Half — The legs tuck under and the frame hinges at the center, packing down to about 42.5 x 7.9 x 4.7 in (108 x 20 x 12 cm).
- Zippered Transport Bag — The included bag with zip closure keeps the cot together and clean between trips.
- Olive Drab Finish — The fabric is olive drab, the muted military green, and the frame is finished in a matching gray-green.
Frame And Fabric
Mil-Tec built this cot around the U.S. Army folding cot pattern, with sleeve pockets at each corner and along the sides that stretch the fabric tight across the aluminum frame. The center leg set supports the middle of the bed, where most of your weight sits. Because the PVC-coated polyester resists water and dirt, the cot can go from a muddy campsite back into storage after a quick wipe.

For the price the two cots will work?I purchased two of these cots based on their description and their reasonable (cheap price). I should have remembered that old saying "you get what you pay for". Anyway the description led me to think that the cots were made in Germany, not so, they are made in China. Also the description states that they are made out of aluminum again not true. The fabric also had one slight rip about .25" long in each cot. Basically not very happy about this purchase but for the price, I will see how they hold up.
