Description
7.5x55 Swiss Rifle Line
This is PPU Rifle Line ammunition in 7.5x55mm Swiss, the cartridge chambered in Swiss service rifles such as the K31 and the Schmidt-Rubin family. Each box holds 20 rounds topped with a 174 grain full metal jacket boat tail bullet. It is a practical load for range work, training and keeping a Swiss rifle shooting. PPU is the trade name of Prvi Partizan, a Serbian ammunition maker.
Features
- 7.5x55mm Swiss Chambering — Loaded for rifles chambered in 7.5x55 Swiss, sometimes listed as 7.5 Swiss or GP11 caliber.
- 174 Grain FMJ Boat Tail Bullet — A full metal jacket, meaning a copper jacket around a lead core, with a tapered base that holds velocity better at distance.
- 11.3 Gram Bullet Weight — The box lists the bullet as 174 gr, or 11.3 g, for shooters working in metric.
- 2,525 FPS Muzzle Velocity — Rated at 2,525 feet per second with 2,477 foot-pounds of muzzle energy.
- Brass Cases — Drawn brass cases feed and extract smoothly and can be kept for reloading.
- Boxer Primed — A Boxer primer has a single central flash hole, so spent cases can be decapped and reloaded with standard tools.
- Non-Corrosive Primers — The primers leave no corrosive salts in the bore, so cleaning follows your normal routine.
- 20 Rounds Per Box — Packed 20 centerfire cartridges to a box in PPU Rifle Line packaging.
Brass, Boxer-Primed Build
Prvi Partizan loads this round with a lead-core, copper-jacketed bullet in reloadable brass, primed with non-corrosive Boxer primers. The boat tail profile and 174 grain weight make it a sensible choice for target shooting and practice with a 7.5x55 Swiss rifle. Check your rifle's chamber marking before firing, as 7.5x55 Swiss does not interchange with other 7.5mm or 7.62mm cartridges.
