Survived three months of daily field abuseOkay so i work outdoors doing utility line inspections and this notebook has been through rain, mud, and Texas summer heat with me. The Polydura cover still looks almost new (just a few scratches around the corners) and the Wire-O binding hasn't bent or snagged on anything in my tool bag. I was skeptical about the whole "write in the rain" thing but honestly it works... as long as you use a pencil or their all-weather pen. I learned the hard way that my usual pens turns into a smeary mess on this paper when it gets damp. The paper has a slightly waxy feel to it which takes some getting used to but once you do, the pages don't stick together like regular notebooks do after getting rained on. After about 50 pages of notes, no tearing, no pages falling out. I actually prefer this to the Field Notes Expedition I tried last year those pages stuck together after one wet day and never really recovered. Green cover is way less obtrusive than their bright yellow ones too.
Paper doesn't degrade after getting wet
Normal pens don't work on it

Actually waterproof paper that really worksI've been using these notebooks for field research and they're absolutely incredible. Got caught in a downpour last month and my notes stayed completely readable while regular paper would've been destroyed. The green paper is easy on the eyes during long days outside and doesn't glare in bright sun. The wire binding has held up great even after being stuffed in my pack constantly. Worth every penny if you need notes that survive real weather conditions.
Genuinely waterproof paper technology
Paper feels different than normal writing

OutstandingThis is an outstanding spiral notebook for all-weather use. This notebook is designed to fit the Model C980 Cordura Case, which allows you to store writing instruments along with the #973 Spiral Notebook. The notebook has 32 pages of grid-lined waterproof paper, making it perfect for making notes, plotting land navigation routes, or sketching pictures. It’s compact enough to drop into a rucksack and always be at the ready. As a bonus, it includes a metric scale on the inside back cover and an inch scale on the outside back cover.
