<p>This shovel impressed me far more than I was expecting.  First the quality that was put into the materials is very high.  The wood handle is not only robust but it is perfectly contoured and you can tell it will last.  The shovel head is made from very high carbon steel based on a thorough examination, so it will also last.  The case is the only part that really could be critical on, as its more of a carrier than a case and being made of leather it has degraded over the decades.</p>
