I'm not sure what's better. A new coat that shrinks to a fit when washed or a jacket in your size that you never have to worry about. I have purchased new, used and from Military Exchanges. This product is by far superior. My brother in LA has several of these as do many of my old military compadres. I now have one and you will not be disappointed.

The condition of this surplus Biarez item was better than I expected. The reason for the 4/5 stars is that I have several M65 Biarez jackets in good condition and this item appears to be at the bottom of the pile as far as material thickness and durability. The stitching appears to be solid but that may change with use. For the $35 price point, it's worth buying but you may be disappointed if you're looking for the heaviest of the M-65 jackets.

Great winter coat. Heavier than expected, which I love. Not very puffy or insulated, so it doesn't look frumpy. Definitely size up. I'm a tall woman and normally a medium. The XL fits perfect. I like to wear oversized coats anyway. I would definitely buy this jacket again.

This is my fourth one. Excellent product and good price. Well made and has stood up to the worst of use. My brother and two sons also have jackets. Very comfortable, but too warm for a light day in the fall or spring. But it is great for really cold weather, when you don't want to layer too much. The cut is a little bit larger, but no problem. It is very durable, I can attest to that. Great coat. Buy one and save your dollars!

Superior condition, what you would expect from a gov't issue piece. I ordered a XL, fits as expected, it has an inner storm cover as well, as well as pockets on the hips and elbows for storage of whatever. 100% waterproof I think they say, I would take that with a few grains of salt as nothing is truly waterproof. But its a jacket, which can be beat for under $50 I don't think. It came a day early and I love it, it is in great shape with hardly any signs of age, just clean, straight, and ready to wear. Will be wearing in a rain storm in a hour or so and ill post a review if there is a big issue. I highly recommend. UPDATE - it rained while wearing, the fit was excellent. There was a large pocket on the left arm, which is kind of weird but its a minor complaint. It was as expected waterproof and after the 2 hours of rain, I did not get soaked, however i do not think it can handle heavy or long rain storms. But that was not the goal, to replicate hurricane-force winds and rainfall. Just rain to test out a rainflap and rain protection, it did great, it worked, and it is great. 100% recommended for under $50.

This looks just like in the description. Well worth the money. 4.5 / 5, because it is somewhat oversized, so it might shrink a bit. This will be a warm layer in cold months and would serve nicely for a warmer jacket for lighter days

Growing up in the Army brat I've worn uniform items since before I was born until this moment in time. For some uniform clothing is bizarre, too heavy, or of the right, and even far left persuasion but when it comes down to the nitty gritty this jacket fits the person well in all regards. Just got mine, and have had time to try it on and just take it out of the bag. I'm happy to say it is very well made. The fit is correct for my 5' 10" 180lb body, although some might say a little baggy (lots of pockets). Quality of material and workmanship seems excellent. There is even some loose excess material on the cuffs, waist, and around the zipper for repair if necessary, but I expect this to be a good, long lasting jacket. It will keep me cozy for years. Update: So far, so good. After a few months of use, this is a great coat. Very comfortable and it still looks new. Not sure how it will be with a few washes, but for now, this seems like a great coat. I am a slim 5'10", 160 lbs and I got a small. I am happy with the size and would say it fits me perfectly. I think they are a bit on the baggy side, which I like. Overall, I am really pleased with this jacket and would highly recommend it.

My jacket came with all my tags on it, unissued, I couldn't be happier. This jacket has all its paperwork, was still in plastic, everything.
