These are genuine US Army rubber overboots, a black pull-on cover that goes over your existing footwear to keep mud, water and contaminants off it. The tall shaft protects the boot and lower leg, and the moulded tread sole gives the outer layer its own grip. When you take them off, they fold flat and can go into a pack until you need them again.
