OEM Long Action Magazine
This is Ruger's own 4-round detachable magazine for the Ruger American long action rifle. Long action means the receiver is sized for full-length cartridges such as .30-06 Springfield and .270 Winchester. It is a factory OEM part, made by the rifle's original manufacturer rather than an aftermarket copy. Hunters keep one as a spare so a second load is ready in a pocket, or use it to replace a magazine that has been lost or worn out.

Fit and Compatibility
The magazine fits Ruger American long action rifles that use a removable magazine. It is not intended for short action models chambered in shorter cartridges such as .308 Winchester. Check your rifle's model and caliber before ordering. The body is one piece of molded polymer, so loading is a matter of pressing rounds down onto the follower and sliding them back under the feed lips.
