The magazine is very solid, and well built. It is a legitimate steel magazine and well built. This magazine will take alot of abuse, and last many years. Other than the 10 round polymer magazine that comes with the rifle, this is the only magazine I feel is very solid.

I've tried both types (New and Old) of the Ruger Plastic Magazines and the Magpul magazines. They all work but they leave something to be desired and don't exude confidence like the steel magazine. This magazine looks classy, fit's snuggly in the magazine well, and sit's flush with the trigger guard. Feels as if its tank like construction and holds exactly 5 rounds with room to load it in the rifle without chambering a round. Feeds smoothly, don't waste your money on the plastic magazines go with these.

Definitely going to buy more and recommend this for anyone wanting an extra mag or two. A lot cheaper then ordering from manufacturer.
